Yamyamyam @ Cafe Lago!

Your'e not from San Pablo if you haven't been to Sampaloc Lake. Well, it is a famous place for jogging, "tambayan" and for "isaw." Everyone knows this place! Anyway in this area, there is a hidden cafe or better say a restaurant which I always wonder how goes it look like inside. Then one day, we need a place to  pass our time with my cousin and Cafe Lago is there not moving and here we go!

I a m actually surprised  about the place,I really thought it was a small place. Well its not that big but enough space for, I think, more or less 20 people. Half of the place is an open garden area. Its really a nice place, with the touch of hanging plants, unique color lamps, a "duyan", a seat made from  bamboo, build stones on a wall  and just simple tables and chairs. I really love the place. Its quiet and relaxing. Having two windows viewing San Pablo's infamous Sampaloc Lake. PERFECT!

Let us taste the food! Well, me and my cousin at that time had just some coffee and a  hot chocolate (tablea). We also had sandwiches. I love the hot chocolate! The sandwich is ok. Uhm, when my highschool friends had a foodtrip reunited :)  We tried FERN (PACO) SALAD and its really delicious! I mean Karen is not really into vegetables but she liked it :) I really love the crunch of fern! Some salted egg, onion and tomatoes. WINNER!

Cafe Lago is open during WEEKENDS 7am-10pm and WEEKDAYS 10am-9pm. It easy to spot in Sampaloc Lake. It is just before "Ang Tahanan ni Aling Meding" (a hotel). Cafe Lago exudes charm, relaxation and yumyumyum!!!!! ;)

Prometric Exam Experience

Prometric exam is not only for  nurses buta also for other professionals. Because I am a registered nurse, my program obviously as a nurse. Before you take the prometric exam, I advice you to ask first your agency or search you target area for their required  program exam. In my case, my agency send me an e-mailfor its steps on registration and the exam's website. I'll be going to Alkhobar, kingdom of Saudi Arabia and my program is Nurse Technician.

The registration for schedule and payment would be thru online. you   will need a dual currency credit card, either American Express, Visa or Master Card. According to the e-mail from my agency they suggested me to use a Master Card. If your having doubts because you don't have a credit card, find someone who have it. What I did is I asked my cousin to use his card and I would just pay the necessary bill. I am at his place when I registered. I answered the necessary information and he did the payment part. Now here are the easy steps in prometric exam for NURSE TECHNICIAN KSA.

The next procedure would be for the payment process, your payment should be via MASTER CARD. Your master card must have at least PHP 5,000.00 in your account. Send the complete details to the email address which will be pop out when you're done. Wait for the confirmation into your email address. Then Print it out, bring it to the Testing Center on scheduled date and time of your exam. Testing Center is located beside the Saudi Embassy in Makati. Please advice us immediately if you do so.

I started studying for the exam when I knew that I needed to take the exam which is the time I was accepted on the job. I scheduled the exam on the day that is the farthest on the available schedule which is July 20, 11 am. I chose 11am for the spare time purposes which I was thankful. My span of time of studying, less than one month. I am pretty nervous, I mean its been a long time since I had taken an exam.

I asked some friends for advice and tips on the exam. Most of them told me it was difficult although it is only 70 items. They told it is easier than the NCLEX (I had never taken it so I had no idea) what I did is surf some NCLEX question on exam mode. Be sure if it has answers, it is reliable. What happened to me, unfortunately, is migraine attack! Pissed! What I observed about myself while taking the NCLEX questions on exam mode is I am  pretty fast. I am pressured on finishing the exam.I was not taking note on the exam, wisely. Regarding on the answers of the sample questions, I am not sure if it was reliable.

It is a good thing that the day before the exam, I took a visit on the Prometric testing center. My cousin knew the place so lucky for me, it was easy.

I slept over in my cousin's apartment around Makati for the "early attendance" purpose, I had my breakfast of course.Anyone should do, especially if your taking any exam.

July 20 was really a rainy day. Actually there is a storm that day in Metro Manila area. Darn! My jeans are soaking wet from rain and I just waited on Starbucks (just in front of the testing center) for two hours. now my nightmare was coming....

I went in when it is already 10:30 am. I am not feeling well due to the weather. The guards would ask your agenda on the area and would ask you to log-in in their logbook. The testing center is on 2nd floor. When  I entered the room, the table in  front had a sign to register your name and leave your ID. What I bought is my postal ID ( my PRC license was still not released that time and my passport was in my agency's office for processing. I was pretty down  that time. They asked me to to return at 11:30am and it was already 10:40am! I got less than an hour to be in Quirino Avenue!I  texted my agency first to inform them.I am worried  due to the rainy weather and traffic! Thank God I had spare money that time. I did get a taxi and asked Manong if he could just wait for a moment  on Quirino then return to the testing center, immediately. God is still good to me, because he is a good driver and person. He waited for me and tried his best for me to arrive on time in the testing area. Lesson: BRING YOUR PASSPORT OR PRC LICENSE!


I waited until 1pm to take the exam. I was really afraid at that moment. I wouldn't have the chance to take the exam, I mean I already paid  P 4,000.00. It was a good thing I met someone who is actually late for her schedule. And we just chat while waiting to lessen our stress. when my name was called, they asked me why am I late and of course I told them the truth. They are pretty strict. By the way, the will hand you a key for your own locker. You will put your stuffs in the locker. Everything. There will  be no items even in your pockets. No rosary, lucky charms etc. You'll only have the keys. They will check your passport if it really you. They will take your picture and ask if the information they had in their computer are correct. And you can take the exam after.They will guide you in your  cubicle. you are forbidden to look in your side  before walking and also during the examination. There is a camera in every cubicle to monitor the test takers during the examination period.


I took the 70 items examination. You can mark the questions or items of your unsure answers and go back to theses items if you want. From what I reviewed, only 5 items appeared! I had only 10 items that I am sure I answered correctly! so long to reach the passing 30! So prayers!! whew! Some questions I had are labeling. I think its about 5 items. Most of them are anatomy of human body of course, assembling steps on procedures and I just can't remember the rest. I had questions from ECG reading and I am sure I got 2 correct answers on those items. Its a luck the question is regarding normal ECG reading and infarction. To make long story short, the exams I had are more on MS,Fundamentals and couple questions from OB, Pedia and Psyche.

It was pretty scary ending the exam. Why? Because you'll know that moment if you had passed. They said 30 items is the passing grade but hello! still made me nervous. I know less than half of the correct answers to pass. When I hit the end button,more than half of the correct answers! My passing grade is a secret of course. :)I just went outside the room and told the preceptor that I had finished the exam. She gave me the certificate that is VALID FOR 3 YEARS. I am really happy that I passed. People at home doesn't know that I took the exam that day :) They are surprised I had bought pizza at home!!!


P.S. As much as possible took the Prometric Exam while you are still in the Philippines. Many of my friends from KSA told me that the passing grade in KSA is 40! And questions are more difficult. Some of the nurses flanked the exam three times, which we don't want to happen.

TIPS
1. Review in a non-pressured way! if you have to keep it secret, do it! Be relax and eat what you want.
2. Answer Exam mode questions in the internet especially with time. You can assess yourself on how you answer. Remember, it is different from NLE which you put your answer on scantron and hold your booklets.
3. Before the exam, be sure you visit the center. It will prevent you from being late.
4. Be on time! Be sure you have your PRC id or passport and printed email.
5. Of course, DO PRAY! HARD! doing a step and praying at the same time would be a powerful force to reach your goal.

MOONLEAF

 Friday, I was actually waiting my cousin, Ate Orange in front of their building.Across RCBC plaza is actually The Columns Tower. Well, there are many coffee shops like Starbucks etc and some restaurant. She asked me to wait at Moonleaf tea shop.

Well,  the drinks are basically made from tea and mixed with different flavors. For the first night that I had been their, what I tried is Honey Milk Tea. I was actually tired at that time. I tried the drink. I am not really a tea-drinker. I didn't liked it, honestly. I guess I am loyal coffee fan. I was dozing off when my Ate arrived.

 Due to some reasons, I stayed the next day at their place. With her friend Aryan,we spend a couple of hours in Moonleaf. The new drink I had tried was, I think, Caramel Milk Tea. I like it better. Well, a couple of minutes, again I felt sleepy. I just don't know why. I was wondering if I was just tired or it was something about the place and drinks. Guess be cause of the milk (contains tryptophan).

CHEWY jUNIOR

My friend, Anne and I met at Trinoma last Saturday. Pretty much  tiredness for her! I must say. We just walk around the mall. And then we saw this stall called CHEWY JUNIOR You gonna love it! She asked me to try it. I like sweets, but not too much. As Filipino says, "madaling maumay" for me. I actually like cream puffs but I didn't see it first, as a cream puff. I mean, what I tried is just a plain  cream puff from our town. :)

We are really not the type of people who likes to take pictures, alone. We wanted to be someone in our pictures. Kinda' shy type person :) Well anyways, let's go back to Chewy Juniors. there are so may flavors to try. Honestly, everything was mouth-watering food! It was like Atlantic Ocean in my mouth! kekeke~~ Just can't order two. I am pretty much stuffed that moment.

You maybe wondering why the Almond sweetheart was not in the box. Well I actually tried it! What we tried is Blueberry cream cheese and I tried Almond Sweetheart. 

IT IS REALLY GOOD! REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD!

I strongly recommend everyone to try it! I mean if you want sweets, you have indulge this with no other thinking! When I got home I tried to search it. I mean, it really made me curious. I found out it was from Singapore etc.

Valonesa Project

I remember back then, me and my dear friends prepared surprises for our friend's birthday. Bought a gift and setting up balloons for them to bring around campus :) and then valentine's day was near, told this story to a friend and thought of making it up to life.

January of 2012, my partner in crime told me to make "sulit" of the said Occasion for Love Day. :) simply a balloon set up :) The birth of VALONESA PROJECT. But due to capital needs, i need my back pay asap literally. Once I received it, we planned to our very best, supplies needed and how to make our set to make our set-ups. After our ever ending meeting schedules, we went to the infamous Divisoria.

January 22, Sunday, we went to Divisoria. We woke up early, and met on the way to city proper.Once in the bus, there is no turning back. Off to Manila.

At last, DIVISORIA.

Asked couple of stores, four our main star, which is balloons.. There are only slight differences on the prices. We also asked for the extras like baskets, gift wrappers, ribbons etc. After shopping the supplies went back home.

Next Days, package production which was really "toxic" we need to post pictures for our future customers.

Someone sweet gave it as a gift for Christmas. 

 Its been how many years and I still have this. Whenever I read this, It always make me  realize to worry at the same time, strive my best to be a better person. 

I've read it again for the start of the year. With few minor accomplishment for the past, sigh... this year I am seriously, definitely, desperately pushing myself to reach my goal I don't know if I'm using my words right or wrong. But I really wanted to. It would be a lot of work. Stop thinking "subtraction" for it will lead to undesirable result. :(

Christmas Galore 2011

Christmas day is here.  Weather: Raining. Darn! Anyways, as I woke up, I brush my teeth first and went to my Mame, kiss her on the cheek and greeted her a Merry Christmas. Few minutes later , we had our Christmas morning breakfast. While we are eating, Dade called and greeted us for the holidays. After, prepared, of course for the mass.

As always we spend our Christmas day with our relatives. As the third generation, almost all of us were finished our  college degrees. so the next beautiful, gorgeous youngsters had really enjoyed the day. Having 3 additional kids makes me realized that "maybe" next year, there's another one on the way. Hehe.

 Unlike last year, we did'nt play our national games . Shoot :( Weather was gloomy, too lazy to play. And that day also was the grand opening of my uncle and auntie's stor, PLUS wifi on the field! so nice!!! Haha! Requesting for tables, coffee, merienda  or forthe happiness of our boys, BEER! tsk!

It is a good thing, I kept a couple of hundreds for my "inaanaks" and "pamangkins". Sorry for  my titas, titos, mame, brothers, cousins, Lolo, Lola and my close oldies. No papasko for this year. Pass! -_-  share for the kids first!

Speaking of sharing, the past week had been a lonely Christmas, not only for our fellow countrymen in Mindanao but also the whole Republic of the Philippines. Many of our brothers and sisters died in a massive flash flood leaving their loved ones agonizing. Many people were also injured and some still can't be found. Evacuation areas have problems due to congestion of evacuees. These people need foo, water, medicines, clothings and restoring their shelters  but also our support and prayers  for their loss. Let's  share our blessings to them. This Christmas season should not be the only day we share but also in our everyday living. Peace and Love :)

Wish"A"wish Simbang gabi

For 2 consecutive  years, I completed simbang  gabi. 

Motivation: Your wishes will come true...

Simbang Gabi is one of the traditions during Christmas season especially for Filipinos. complete attendance of 9 mornings and your wishes will come true as they say. For night goers, it will start, December 15 night as simbang gabi. For early bird risers,it will start December 16 morning as Misa de Gallo. so if you can't attend  in mornings, attend at night or if you miss night schedules, attend the morning. No excuses :)

I am really determined this year to complete my attendance. I badly needed  my wish to come true. This time I'll be specific. Ending my year unemployed at the moment, I need a freak'in work  and as much as possible a PERMANENT  one. :) 

So in the end, 9 attendance: ALL PRESENT! 

Thanks to a friend of mine, she also  helped me to wake up in the morning at 2:45. Morning mass is at 4am but still have to be early for the seats. And BTW, I need to confess, I did'nt took a bath before attending the mass in morning. Hehe. Well, I had my reason, one is for sure I will be late. The next one, the water is freakish cold! chillsss... There were times that we attend night for it will represent the next day attendance. We do this, in case we need to do something that day or we need to make "bawi" on our sleeping hours. In my case, after the Misa de Gallo, I am really awake and can't continue my sleep. 

I am happy to complete my attendance for the 3rd year in a row.  Not only for the sake of my wishes but also a part of celebrating the  birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. Besides, it makes the Lord happy for a simple sacrifice. Christmas doodles!!!

THE DRAGON ON VACATION

better FILED! my 2012 or else!?!

Its December 2011! another year has to come to end! weew!! although I am sad for being terminated last month, I just miss my college habits! (WOW! 3 years way back to college huh!?!) Anyhows here's the habit I had. Yearly PLANNER. Hhhhmmm  being a student nurse that time, I need to be organize. I just buy organizers from bookstores because its cheaper teehee! hehehe What I really want that time was Starbucks planner because of its whole package. Problem??? I have to drink so many Frappe to get it! Result = still EXPENSIVE. I don't have that kind of budget. Sigh.... As of now, I am currently unemployed :( but still I want to change my next year. Bring back OLD habits. Be ORGANIZED. So I decided to search online. I'm kinda' lazy to  go out to National Bookstore to take a look. Surfing the net, I saw this article about

Yup! Already have it!!! Well, I was actually waiting for its raffle draw to get it free :) but somehow, I thought what if I am not picked and it was already sold out. Darn. That would not be good. So I decided to bought it. Not available here at our place, asked my cousin to bought it for me.

anyhows, how do I fell in love with it. because primarily, wholeheartedly and definitely its whole package! teehee! There's a free bandolier for your penS! A person like me who always lost her pen, need this!!! :) not only one but lots of pens. :) The holistic content is really not good but GREAT!

I love the mood indicator.The moment I saw this, remind me of you know, gals red flag. ehem! And of course dates to remember (birthday and holidays etc).

Expense Tracker would also be a big help. Everyday cost monitoring, helps you save. Reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, I need to filed an asset column and lessen my liabilities at a young age. So another point for this :)

 

 Speaking of Rich Dad Poor Dad, I love books! I can't buy some books due to its cost but I really make a way to read it. BORROW! haha. I love them. So this content, shoot again.

Next, FOOD! I am not really matakaw not unless I am starving. But I love to taste and experience eating foods like korean, desserts, seafoods, breads etc. This is one of my stress relief momentum. :)

TRAVEL??? one of stuffs I really want to do. Explore. Adventure. Life. :) Although not now, I will do it :)

Another stress relief is watching movies! Already anticipating movies for 2012. Hunger Games. Three Stooges.Avengers etc! excited to see that!
